Well guys we’ve been up and running for a bit on the website. A few things are being tweaked and changed but we are gradually getting there. You all got your website ‘flyers’ at Encounter last night so hopefully a few more people will be dropping by pretty soon. So we’re thinking its maybe about time we introduced ourselves. Use this post to comment a few things about your self like who you are (first name only required if you don’t want to post details) maybe how long you’ve been coming to Encounter and a few other details you might want to add like what school or tech you go to and what sort of music you like. Whatever you want. Its time to make yourself known. It can be as short or long as you want (within reason!)
Look forward to hearing from some of you…

I’m Sam. 20 years old. Go to QUB – doing a selection of ridiculous subjects. I’ve been a leader at Encounter since the first night coming up on 2 years now I suppose. Currently enjoying some David Crowder*Band and Chris Tomlins new album…as well as Midlake. I once met basket-ball “legend(?)” Swoop at Strandtown Primary School. Thats all you need to know lol!

I like all sorts of music except anti-Christian stuff and depressing country and western. Liking the Fray, have liked them since before Summer now. That’s about it…

Im loving Casting Crowns and Andy Flannagan. Secular wise you can’t beat The Fray. I met Ryan Giggs when I was 3, and I have a picture to prove it. :]

I also go to Sulllivan and have been at Encounter from the start and i love it!i have appalling taste in music so i wont mention it and im currently really enjoying watchin the us open tennis!am going out with chris as he mentioned above tho would never use a word as cringe worthy as dating…….oj. much luv to everyone!
Comment by Ali January 22, 2007 @ 7:59 pmim sarah tho im more commonly known at encounter as ‘cro(due to my surname not coz i look like the bird or anything hope)’! so yeah i have been a leader at encounter since it started it’s i really enjoy it. currently i am working in strandtown baptist church (where encounter is) mainly with youth stuff…however not for very much longer as i am heading to Queens uni to do nursing in feb! oh no im going to actually have to do work again. I haven got much else interesting to say … but im sure id say much more if you were to come and talk to me!

I’m a computer science grad and work for a company called Openwave, you may have seen them on your mobile phone. This is my first year helping out at encounter. I became a Christian when I was 15 in the middle of a big camping field, i’m now 25 and married. Time does fly….. right back to work!

Chris and Lynnes Thursday ECell rocks, probably the best thing in my life at the minute lol Im a big fan of country and western music and I havent heard the end of it yet! Christianwise I like Robin Mark, Matt Redman, Paul Wright, KJ52 and Chris Tomlin, as well as our own encounter bands as well!

I’ve been a leader at encounter scince the summer program in 2005. Currently listening to Evanesccence but that’s the fault of iTunes and not my choice, on the Christian music front i’m currently enjoying a selection of Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and local hero Johnny Parks. I play some bass guitar in band3 and have also been known to dabble in some shoddy guitar work.

At Encounter I’m most often found at the tuckshop, possibly with a crisp box over my head…I’m in 2nd year doing Medicine at Queens-luvin it but far too much hard work at the mo!Been leading at Encounter since it started, it’s been amazing to see God so at work over the past 2 years and see so many ppl growing in their faith. Really enjoying Sufjan Stevens at the moment (check him out he rox!). Christian music I’m likin David Crowder Band and Tim Hughes. cya all soon

I like The Raveonettes and a bit of Machinae Supremacy but a lot of other stuff too. I don’t go to encounters ‘cos I’m almost at leaving age for that but I thought I’d say hi anyway
